This is a particularly stunning form of Aquilegia - a double, deep purple that looks like velvet. It is a gorgeous addition to the garden and the bouquet. Aquilegia will readily self-seed once established and is perfect in a cottage-style or naturalistic garden. It also produces interesting seed heads that rattle when dry.
