Kate - owner and grower at Twist Creek Flora
Hi, I’m Kate- the owner and grower behind Twist Creek Flora. I’m coming into my fifth spring-summer of growing cut flowers on my one-acre property in beautiful, vibrant Yackandandah in north east Victoria.
Situated in the foothills of the Stanley Forest, we have an abundance of wildlife on our property including a recently-spotted resident koala! There’s also wombats, echidnas, yellow-tailed black cockatoos, gang-gang cockatoos and tawny frogmouths, to name a few. I grow chemical-free and strive to provide healthy habitat for local fauna whilst maintaining a productive micro cut flower farm (these two things are not at all mutually exclusive but instead are co-beneficial!).
I specialise in growing ranunculus and tulips in spring, dahlias, hydrangeas and roses in summer and chrysanthemums in autumn. I provide wholesale to florists as well as direct to retail customers including DIY buckets and bouquets, and also sell seeds, plants, corms and tubers.
